Atelier methods
Craft
Every stitch is intentional. Every material is chosen, not defaulted.
Noir partners with specialist ateliers across Italy, Portugal, and Japan. Each technique is selected for the specific garment — not applied as a house style.
Double-faced wool
Woven in a single pass at a heritage mill in Biella, Italy. No bonding agents, no fusing — two faces of the same cloth.
Blind-stitch finishing
Hems and edges are turned by hand with a blind stitch that leaves no visible thread on the exterior face.
Pattern-matched seams
Every stripe and check is matched at the seam so the fabric reads as one continuous surface across the body.
Polished hardware
Zips, clasps, and buckles are die-cast in solid brass, hand-polished, and coated with a clear lacquer for tarnish resistance.
